LOS ANGELES:- US Citizenship and Immigration Services has announced that it has reinstated robust screening and vetting processes to identify those seeking to defraud or abuse the immigration system.

In a statement, USCIS warned, “We are actively raising awareness among immigrants and the general public about the consequences of immigration fraud.”

Immigrants who use false information or deceptive practices to improperly obtain immigration benefits will face serious consequences.’

We are updating Section 8, Part K, Chapter 2 of the old policy to strictly investigate those who seek immigration benefits through false statements.

According to USCIS, the new guidance is effective immediately and will apply to requests pending or filed on or after the publication date.

The statement said, “Anyone who falsely claims U.S. citizenship under the Immigration and Nationality Act, even if they do not qualify based on their knowledge or legal capacity as immigrants, will be punished.”

We will be rigorously scrutinizing how we consider age, knowledge, and mental capacity when determining whether immigrants had a subjective intent to obtain a benefit or benefit under the ENA or any other federal or state law.
