TOKYO:- Subhas Lamichhane has been elected as the president of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Japan. Lamichhane won the election of NRNA Japan today, defeating his rival Siddharth Shrestha.
In a brief response after being elected as the chairman, Lamichhane expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported and assisted him.
Lamichhane, who went to Japan in 2007, is a restaurant entrepreneur.
While filing his candidacy, Lamichhane emphasized on issues such as the construction and operation of a unified Nepali home: a multicultural center, the restructuring of the association, and smart NRNA.
He is also committed to initiating work on institutional development and financial transparency.
He has also put forward plans to provide free Japanese language and information about Japanese organizations, and conduct counseling programs.
He assured that he would coordinate orientation training for students coming to Japan and take the initiative to resolve various problems faced by students in Japan.
