RSP Mugu district convention concludes, new leadership elected

MUGU:- A new district working committee has been elected from the first district convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, (RSP), Mugu. According to the election results made public by the District Election Committee, Birkha Bahadur Malla has been elected as the district president by receiving the highest number of votes.

According to the election results, Rajendra Shahi has been elected as Vice President, Ram BK as Secretary, and Jayadharma Jaisi, Gorkha Bahadur Kumai, and Lalchandra Rokaya have been elected as members.

Birkha Bahadur Malla won the post of President with 43 votes, while his nearest rival received 6 votes. Rajendra Shahi won the post of Vice President with 35 votes, while Ram BK achieved success in the post of Secretary with 25 votes.

Similarly, among the candidates for the post of member, Jayadharma Jaisi was elected with 39 votes, Gorkha Bahadur Kumai with 30 votes, and Lalchandra Rokaya with 30 votes.

According to the election results released by District Election Committee Coordinator Yuktil Kumar Shahi, the new leadership was formally announced after the voting and counting of votes were completed.

Despite two days of efforts to reach a consensus among the delegates participating in the convention to select a leadership, the election process was moved forward on Wednesday after consensus could not be reached.

The newly elected leadership has expressed commitment to strengthening the party organization, expanding public relations, and making the party’s activities in the district more effective.
