KATHMANDU:- The inquiry commission formed to investigate the Gen Z Movement incident has decided to recommend to the relevant body to ban the foreign travel of five people, including former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
The meeting of the commission held today has decided to recommend to the relevant bodies to ban former Prime Minister Oli, former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, and then Home Secretary Gokarna Mani Duwadi from traveling abroad.
Similarly, it has been decided to recommend to the relevant bodies to ban foreign travel for the then Chief of the National Investigation Department, Hutaraj Thapa, and the then Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Chhabilal Rijal.
The Commission has decided to take necessary action to ban their foreign travel as they are under investigation and inquiry.
The statement also states that it has been decided to write to the concerned body to make arrangements to prevent the commission from leaving the Kathmandu Valley without the commission’s permission, as it is required to be present at the commission at any time.
