UML Vice-Chair Poudel arrested

SURKHET:- CPN (UML) Vice-Chair Bishnu Poudel has been arrested. Poudel was arrested in Surkhet at 6:00 pm today on charges of money laundering, shared Superintendent of Police Thakur Prasad Poudel, Chief of District Police Office, Surkhet.

According to him, he was arrested from the meeting hall of Shuva Hotel located in Birendranagar Municipality-3, Surkhet. Surkhet Police took Poudel to Nepalgunj by land route to send him to Kathmandu today.

UML Vice-Chair Poudel had come to Surkhet for the UML’s election review and suggestion collection program.

Also a former Finance Minister, Poudel is a native of Butwal Sub-metropolitan City-9, Rupandehi, and currently residing in Kathmandu.
