CPN-UML 11th National Congress: Vote Count after 223 ballots

KATHMANDU:- Results from the counting of 223 votes at the 11th National Congress of the CPN-UML show a clear lead by senior leaders across key posts.

For the post of Chairperson, incumbent KP Sharma Oli is leading with 156 votes, while Ishwar Pokhrel has secured 67 votes.

In the Vice-Chairperson race, Bishnu Prasad Paudel (173), Prithvi Subba Gurung (171), Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ (153), Raghuji Pant (123) and Gokarna Raj Bista (133) are among the top contenders based on the counted votes.

For General Secretary, Shankar Pokhrel has obtained 115 votes, closely followed by Surendra Prasad Pandey with 108 votes, indicating a tight contest.

In the race for Deputy General Secretary, Lekhraaj Bhatta (147), Yogesh Bhattarai (140), Raghubir Mahaseth (126) and Hikmat Kumar Karki (138) have received significant support.

Similarly, for Secretary, candidates including Padma Kumari Aryal (152), Mahesh Basnet (150), Chhabilal Bishwakarma (145), Sherdhan Rai (141) and Khagraj Adhikari (132) are leading based on the votes counted so far.

Vote counting is ongoing, and final results will be announced after the completion of the full tally, party officials said.
