WASHINGTON:-  Amid the government shutdown, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers continue to arrest criminals and illegal immigrants.

“During the government shutdown, our ICE law enforcement officers are working without pay to arrest child sexual abusers, human traffickers, and other violent criminals,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.

Among the illegal immigrants arrested across the country on Tuesday were Jose Estrada-Hidalgo, Mexico, and Milton Omar Valdez-Carrasco, Mexico.

Similarly, the illegal immigrants arrested on Tuesday were Silvino Juan Martinez-Montesinos, Mexico, Callisto Mendez-Gomez, Guatemala, and Rafael Puerto-Urbina, Honduras.

Most of the arrested illegal immigrants are members of the Hispanic community.
