At the programme organised by the Bhaktapur District Committee of UML in Gundu today, Chair Oli said that his party is in favour of the reinstatement of the House of Representatives and expressed confidence that the Nepali Congress would also agree.
He stated that if the government is to hold elections, it must win the confidence of political parties and ensure everyone’s participation in the electoral process.
“At this time, the nation needs unity and stability. Democratic forces must come together to maintain peace and order and make the country prosperous. The government must create a positive and favourable environment for this,” he said.
UML General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel said that while problems have arisen in the country, there is a need to create an environment of unity and consensus within the country, and disputes should not be created within the party.
