KATHMANDU:- The film ‘Bhagdaud’, written and directed by Himal Upreti, is set to hit the screens on Ashad 26, (June 10) today. On Tuesday, the makers announced the release date by releasing two posters of the film. The posters show the lead actors of the film in a tense situation, hinting at a mysterious story.
Presented by Bishworam Bista, the film will feature actors like Deshbhakta Khanal, Laxmi Giri, Anisha Shrestha, Ghanshyam Joshi, Vishal Pokharel, Shekhar Chapagain, Shankar Maharjan, Sharda Rai (Sara), Subash Timilsina, among others. Angira Thapa is the executive producer of the film, while Bhupendra Kumar Khadka, Sagar Puri, and Suresh Giri are the co-producers.
According to director Upreti, the film will show the story of the moral crisis of human life based on greed, avarice, deceit and fraud. He said that its background is centered around the historical and traditional Newar settlement of Bungmati in Kathmandu and the banks of the Bagmati River. He believes that the film will give a new experience to the audience.
Produced under the banner of Supreme Music and Films, the film has cinematography by Deepak Bajracharya, editing by Prabin Dhakal, music by Basanta Sapkota and Prakash Nepali, singing by Milan Newar, Asmita Adhikari and Prahlad Timalsina, and VFX by Dinesh Jung Rana. The film will be distributed nationwide by National Cine Group Nepal led by Deepak Dangal.
