KATHMANDU:- Written and directed by Everest Surya Bohra, the film ‘Chameliko Poi’ is set to hit the screens on Asoj 16, just before Vijayadashami (Dashain). On Tuesday, the producer released a poster and informed about the new release date of the film. Earlier, the release date of the film was set for Chaitra 13, (October 2, 2026) last year.
The public poster shows the lead pair of the film, Suraksha Pant and Mukun Bhusal. Suraksha can be seen holding both of Mukun’s legs and pulling them to the ground. Mukun is seen asking for help from someone with a sad face. This suggests that the film is based on the story of a man who is being abused by his wife. However, the production team has not revealed the plot details.।
The film stars Suraksha and Mukun, as well as Narayan Tripathi, Wilson Bikram Rai, Ravindra Jha, Anshu Maharjan, Khadka Bahadur Pun, Umesh Rai, Rajani Gurung, Sunita Sapkota, Ganesh Gautam, Premdev Giri, Ritu Malla Thakuri, Dhanalakshmi Bohara, Shreya Narayan. Narayan Tripathi made his comeback to acting after two decades with this film.
Produced under the banner of Dhanalakshmi Cine Makers, the film is produced by Sunita Sapkota and Ram Narayan Upadhyay. The executive producers are Uday Bikram Rana, Ritu Malla Thakuri and Kapil Acharya. The film’s songs have music by Rajanraj Siwakoti and Ashish Abiral, while the choreography is by Kabiraj Gahatraj and the fight direction is by Kumar Maharjan.
