Kejriwal raised ‘reasonable apprehension’ to seek judge’s recusal, didn’t need to prove bias: AAP

-

NEW DELHI,  (PTI):-  AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj on Tuesday said party national convener Arvind Kejriwal expressed “reasonable apprehension” that he and other accused in the excise policy case may not get justice from the court of Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma, offering 10 points to justify his position.

Addressing a press conference, AAP’s Delhi unit president Bharadwaj said Kejriwal had argued before the Delhi High Court that proving bias was not necessary if there was a reasonable apprehension of not getting justice.

He said Kejriwal listed 10 points before the court, one of which related to Justice Sharma’s two children being lawyers in the Supreme Court and appearing on behalf of the central government.
