BERLIN:- Lenin Bista, a Ex Maoist Child Solder who filed a war crimes case against former Prime Ministers Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Prachanda and Baburam Bhattarai and made the crimes committed during the Maoist People’s War public, is currently in Germany.
He has arrived in Berlin, the capital of Germany, to participate in a program to prepare to make public the crimes committed during the Maoist People’s War. Bista has informed on Facebook that he has arrived in Europe for a ‘Discussion on the justice of child soldiers’.
Lenin Bista, who has been raising his voice on the war crime of using child soldiers as soldiers in the Maoist People’s War, has reached Germany to form an international public opinion.
Bista, who had previously raised the issue of the war crime of using child soldiers as soldiers at a discussion held in The Hague, Netherlands in 2018, had returned home after failing to withstand government pressure.
Former Maoist leader and current UML Vice-Chairman Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal was criticized for blocking former Maoist child soldier Lenin Bista’s visit to Europe when he was the Home Minister, fearing that Prachanda’s war crimes would be made public.
Lenin has been accusing Maoist leaders of using him in armed conflict. He has also filed a war crimes case against Prachanda and Baburam in the Supreme Court. The case is still pending in the court.
