TEXAS:- 272 Nepalis have benefited from a two-day consular mobility camp organized by the Nepali Consulate General in Dallas, Texas, in Austin, the capital of Texas.
Deputy Consul General Dhana Joshi informed that 272 people were provided with new passports and renewals, 267 with Wares Nama, one with One-way Travel Documents, and one with NRN Card, in a passport and consular mobile camp organized by the Nepali Consulate General in Dallas, Texas, on April 26 and 27.
The Government of Nepal established a Consulate General in Dallas, Texas last year with the aim of providing consular services to Nepalis living in nine different states in the US. According to Deputy Consul General Dhana Joshi, this is the first mobile camp after the embassy was established in Dallas.
The Consulate General has a policy of providing services to geographically distant Nepalis at the most convenient location. Nepalis living in the geographically large Austin area of Texas have long been demanding a visa and consular camp. The Greater Austin Nepali Society Austin assisted in the local management of the camp. Consul General Suresh Adhikari, Deputy Consul General Dhana Joshi, Deputy Consul Harimaya Adhikari and other staff provided services at the camp.
The Consulate General has issued a statement on social media expressing its gratitude to the entire local Nepali community, including the Greater Austin Nepali Society, for their support in the successful completion of the Passport and Consular Mobile Camp held in Austin.
