KATHMANDU:- Nepal, who qualified for the Asian Games men’s cricket tournament as group winners, will face Oman in the semi-finals for the title.

Nepal, the winner of Group ‘A’, has secured a meeting with Oman, the runner-up of Group ‘B’. Nepal will face Oman in the first semi-final on Sunday at 7:15 am in Singapore.

Nepal, which won both the group stage matches, has entered the semi-finals as the group winner. Similarly, in the second semi-final, Group ‘B’ winner Hong Kong and Group ‘A’ runner-up Malaysia are competing. The second semi-final will be held on Sunday at 12:15 pm in Singapore.

Nepal, which defeated China by 221 runs in the first match, defeated Malaysia by 167 runs in the second match to become the group winner.

Nepal, which has secured a place in the Asian Games with its first win, will be in the field with the aim of winning the qualification title. Nepal and Malaysia have been selected for the Asian Games from Group ‘A’, while Oman and Hong Kong have been selected from Group ‘B’.

China and Qatar from Group ‘A’, along with Bahrain and Singapore from Group ‘B’, have been eliminated from the qualifying tournament.
