WASHINGTON:- U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested Felipe Linares de Oliveira del Aquila, an undocumented immigrant of Brazilian origin. Felipe is wanted in Brazil on an international warrant for organized crime and extortion.
According to ICE, Felipe previously served as commander of the Primero Comando da Capital (PCC) and Comando Vermelo (CV). ICE said he was arrested while he was preparing to flee to Mexico and was holding his wife against her will.
According to ICE, Felipe attempted to flee the traffic stop in his vehicle, prompting law enforcement to pursue him, which resulted in him crashing into a traffic stop. He then attempted to flee on foot, but was apprehended by law enforcement a short time later.
“We were able to arrest an undocumented immigrant with a warrant out for serious crimes, including criminal activity and extortion,” said Mark M. Zito, HSI Special Agent in Charge in the Carolinas.
Felipe is being held in the county jail on a state felony charge of fleeing to evade arrest. Ice claims Aquila entered the USA illegally on an unknown date and location.
