CHITWAN:- The Rastriya Swatantra Party, (RSP), which has been facing criticism over its ideological principles since its inception, has made it clear that social democracy based on pluralism is its ideological destination.
The RSP has made ‘social democracy’ based on pluralism its core political principle through the political report presented by President Rabi Lamichhane at its first general convention in Chitwan.
When the party was founded, the Rastriya Swatantra Party, (RSP) had adopted ‘constitutional socialism’ as its principle. The manifesto and the preamble to the Jaleshwor meeting also called ‘constitutional socialism’ the party’s political principle. However, in the report of the general convention, President Lamichhane has concluded that ‘social democracy’ based on pluralism is the party’s core political principle.
