KATHMANDU:- Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) General Secretary Dr. Dhaval Shamsher Rana has announced a new campaign to build a new and credible nationalist force in the country. He said that he will leave the RPP and work to build a new force. Issuing an appeal on Thursday, Rana expressed serious dissatisfaction with the current path and working style of the RPP and mentioned that he will start a new political journey.
In the statement, Dr. Rana mentioned that despite the efforts made to move the RPP forward in line with public sentiment for the past four years, the party has not been successful. He said, “The RPP has been punished by the people for continuing to walk the wrong path amidst contradictions and ideological dilemmas.”
He also mentioned that he has no personal enmity with anyone within the RPP. Stating that he has decided on his future path based on the advice of well-wishers and fellow travelers, Rana said that he has taken this step based on the suggestions received from Nepalis living in the country and abroad.
He has also called on nationalists and the younger generation who love the country and desire prosperity to participate in his new campaign.
“I call on all nationalist friends to move forward unitedly if we want to give our beliefs the right direction by building clean minds and intimate relationships,” he wrote in the statement.
There has been dissatisfaction within the RPP for a long time regarding ideological clarity and leadership issues.
