KATHMANDU:- Nepal is under the influence of westerly winds and local winds, along with a low-pressure area located near the eastern part, resulting in the possibility of rain, lightning and storms in different parts of the country today.

The Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology stated that the weather is generally cloudy in hilly and Himalayan parts of the country, and partly cloudy in the Tarai region.

Likewise, rainfall coupled with thunder is happening in some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces now.

Generally cloudy conditions are likely throughout the country this afternoon.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder at a few places in the Himalayan and hilly parts of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, and at one or two places in the Tarai region of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, including Madhesh province.

There is also a possibility of gusty winds at a few places in the Tarai and hilly regions of Sudurpaschim, Karnali and Lumbini provinces.

Likewise, the weather is likely to remain generally cloudy in hilly and Himalayan regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and partly cloudy in other provinces.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder at a few places in Koshi, Gandaki, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, including the remaining Himalayan and hilly regions, and at one or two places in the Tarai region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, including Madhesh Province. RSS
