KATHMANDU:- The Nepali Congress has postponed the election of its parliamentary party leader, which was earlier scheduled for today, Friday.
The election committee said that the entire procedure for the election was postponed in a bid to elect the leader in consensus.
Meanwhile, as per the decision of the NC Central Working Committee meeting on Friday itself, a committee has been formed under the coordination of Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma for the purpose of electing the leader unanimously.
The committee comprises Vice President Pushpa Bhusal, and General Secretaries Pradip Paudel and Gururaj Ghimire, while election committee coordinator is Prakash Rasaili Snehi. The members of the committee are Muna Bhusal and advocate Raju Katuwal.
The committee has said that further information, including the election schedule, would be published as soon as possible.
