Nepal-India Border Coordination Meeting held

KANCHANPUR:- The meeting of the Nepal-India Border Coordination Committee concluded here on Monday.

The meeting was attended by the Chief District Officers of Kanchanpur, Kailali, Dadeldhura, Baitadi and Darchula, officials of the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and National Investigation Department, while the concerned District Magistrate of the Indian Police and Border Security Force on the Indian side participated.

According to Kailali Chief District Officer Hiralal Regmi, who co-chaired the meeting, discussions were held on the ongoing work for Nepal-India border management, the condition of border pillars, maintenance and reconstruction, among other issues.

Informing that an understanding has been reached on making mutual cooperation more effective in border management, Chief District Officer Regmi said maintenance of border pillars, search for missing pillars and reconstruction and necessary repairs will be taken forward.

The meeting was also informed about the progress of the technical team related to the reconstruction of missing border pillars.
