DOHA:- Krishna Panthi has been elected as the President of the National Coordination Council of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Qatar for the 2025-2027 term.
Panthi had previously served as the Vice President of the National Coordination Council Qatar and was active in the interests of the Nepali community in Qatar.
The general convention was held under the chief guest of Nepali Congress spokesperson and former Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat.
The NRNA ICC members who won from the closed session of the 11th General Convention are Dhan Bahadur Balayer, Sheikh Hanif Sahil Hanif Khan, Dhruvraj Adhikari, Tikaram Dumre and Gopal Dangi.
Rabin Magar has been elected as the first vice-president, Santosh Poudel as the second vice-president, Jahagir Alam as the third vice-president, Toumaya Gurung as the women’s vice-president, Meher Singh Tamang as the youth vice-president, and Vivek Pulami Magar as the general secretary.
Similarly, secretaries Buddha Pandey, Sujan Gurung and Arjun Sangraula, treasurer Kavindra Kandel, co-treasurer Kanchha Shrestha (Ajay), women coordinator Kalpana Pun Magar and youth coordinator Keshav Raj Malla (Keshu) have been elected.
Rita Pokharel, Indira Shah, Ram Chandra Giri, Amrit Bishwakarma Prakash Darnal, Darshan Sunar, Ganesh Adhikari, Rajan Chapagain, Tara Tamata (Kamal), Dilli Ram Bhattarai, and Mohammad Rafiq Ryan have been elected as members of the working committee.
Similarly, Bishwanath Bhattarai, Gorakh Bahadur Chand Thakuri, Md. Anwarul Haq, Sheikh Momtaz, Prakash Thapa, Sushil Kumar Subba, Krishna Bhandari, Pushkar Bahadur Saud have been elected.
Kamal Khatri and Ashok Ale Magar have been elected to the Accounts Committee under the chairmanship of Ram Prasad Gautam.
A Disciplinary Committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Tak Kumar Khadka (Kumar) from the General Convention with Kalyan Thapa and Arjun Khadka as members.
