LOS ANGELES:- The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) arrested more than a dozen illegal immigrants in Los Angeles, California, on Monday.

On Monday, Homeland Secretary Christie Noem issued a statement confirming that the US Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have arrested more than a dozen illegal immigrants in Los Angeles, California, since June.

The US Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) claimed to have arrested more than 12 illegal immigrants after violent rioters attempted to obstruct law enforcement officers.

“DHS law enforcement has made more than 5,000 arrests in Los Angeles. That means more than 5,000 illegal immigrants have been removed from the United States,” Secretary Noem said. Make no mistake: if you are here illegally, we will find you, arrest you and send you back. This is just the beginning.”

The illegal immigrants arrested by ICE on Monday were Diego Fernandez-Martinez, Mexico; Juan Carlos Marin-Hipolito, Mexico; Jamie Sarina-Rodriguez, Mexico; Yohannes Jerai, Eritrea; Justin Chung, South Korea; and Quoc Dung Pham, Vietnam.
