KATHMANDU:- Moderate rainfall and snowfall are likely at some places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province and at a few places in Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces today, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

The Division stated that light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning may also occur at one or two places in the Tarai and other hilly areas of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.

Nepal is currently experiencing the influence of westerly and local winds. The weather office has also forecast a rise in temperatures in the Tarai districts of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Provinces.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, while the remaining hilly areas will see partly cloudy conditions. The Tarai region is likely to witness mainly fair weather.

The Division has also predicted chances of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces tonight.
