SOUL:- The new leadership of the South Korea branch of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has been unanimously elected. The new working committee was elected unopposed at the closed session of the branch’s convention held in Seoul, the capital of Korea, on Sunday. 19 members participated in the convention.
The closed session has elected Santosh Khadka as the chairperson. Similarly, Sabina Karki has been elected as the women’s vice-chairperson, Kokil Poudel as the open vice-chairperson, Basudev Bhatta as the secretary, and Rajkumar Tamang as the inclusive joint-secretary.
Pramila Budhathoki has been elected as the treasurer of the newly formed working committee, while Suman Karki and Shiva Bahadur Karki have been elected as members. Keshav Pokharel has also been elected unopposed as a member of the central council.
In the inaugural session of the convention, Federation of Nepali Journalists Central President Nirmala Sharma and Senior Vice President Deepak Acharya delivered congratulatory speeches through virtual medium.
The open session was attended by Rabindra Shrestha, the president of the Japan branch of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, as the central representative.
Representatives of various organizations active in Korea were present at the inaugural session, and some guests also expressed their best wishes.
