RSP Maintains Lead in Proportional Representation Vote Count

KATHMANDU:- Vote counting under the proportional representation system for the House of Representatives elections is continuing across the country.

According to the latest update from the Election Commission Nepal as of 7:46 am today, the Rastriya Swatantra Party is leading the proportional representation vote tally by a significant margin.

Of the 10,297,497 votes counted so far, the party has secured 4,951,964. The Nepali Congress comes second with 1,674,940 votes, while the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has 1,390,293 votes. The Nepali Communist Party has garnered 753,082 votes.

Among other parties, the Shram Sanskriti Party has received 348,159 votes, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has secured 322,604 votes.

Likewise, the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal has obtained 169,447 votes, the Rastriya Pariwartan Party has collected 165,069 votes, and the Janamat Party has secured 75,486 votes so far.

Meanwhile, in the first-past-the-post system, the Nepali Congress has won 18 seats, followed by CPN-UML with nine seats and the Nepali Communist Party with eight seats. The Shram Sanskriti Party has won three seats, while the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and an independent candidate have secured one seat each.
