BARCELONA:- The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Spain has organized a 5-day spiritual festival for the first time in Europe to make the ‘Nepal House’ construction campaign a success.
According to NRNA Spain President Santosh Shrestha, the construction of the ‘Nepal House’ has been conceived with the aim of providing religious, cultural and social support to Nepalis living in Spain. It is believed that it will provide a comfortable environment for funerals and rituals, especially in tragic situations.
The spiritual festival will begin from April 5 and will run until April 10. Entrepreneur committee coordinator Dinesh Giri informed that Euro 300,000 plus has been collected so far through the festival.
Sanatan spiritual speakers Dinbandhu Pokharel has made a special visit from Nepal to deliver a sermon based on the Bhagavad Gita and Buddha’s teachings at the festival. The program includes daily bhajans and kirtans, along with spiritual sermons, which are expected to unite the Nepali community here religiously and spiritually.
According to the organizers, once the construction of ‘Nepal Ghar’ is completed, it will develop into a common religious and cultural center for Nepalis living in Spain. It is also believed that such programs in the future will further contribute to the preservation of Nepali identity and culture.
