KATHMANDU:-  Membership distribution has been opened worldwide for the 12th General Convention of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) to be held in the last week of February.

The association has urged those who missed out on membership earlier to subscribe through the ‘Smart NRNA’ app. According to the President of the association,  Mahesh Shrestha, NRNA membership has been opened to all active National Coordination Councils (NCCs) around the world in accordance with the consensus of broad unity.

Membership is mandatory to become a delegate and candidate for the 12th General Convention to be held from February 22-25.

It has been agreed to integrate the details of those who became members through portals other than the Smart NRNA app into the MRS system after receiving the details from the concerned NCC along with documents proving their residence in the respective country.

Currently, there are only 20 NCCs that are yet to be integrated. An ‘NCC Unity Facilitation Committee’ has been formed under the coordination of Gangadhar Gautam to unify the divided national committees.
