NOC Hikes Fuel Prices Again Amid West Asia Conflict

KATHMANDU:-  Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the prices of petroleum products.

Less than 11 days after the last price increase, the corporation has increased the prices of diesel, kerosene and petrol by Rs 15 per liter, effective from midnight today. Earlier, the corporation had adjusted the prices of petroleum products on March 31.

The Corporation has fixed the price of petrol at Rs 184.50 per liter in the first category, Rs 186 in the second category and Rs 187 in the third category, and the price of diesel kerosene at Rs 164.50 per liter in the first category, Rs 166 in the second category and Rs 167 in the third category. With the price adjustment, the price of petrol in Kathmandu will be Rs 187 per liter.

The Corporation has designated Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj as the first category, Surkhet and Dang as the second category, and Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal depots as the third category.

The Corporation has clarified that as the prices of petroleum products are increasing in the international market, the prices in the local market have also had to be increased.

The Corporation has stated that the price of petrol purchased from March 1 to 24 has increased by Rs 76 per liter and diesel by Rs 143 per liter.
