HONG KONG:- 31-year-old Pratap Bikram Hamal, a kidney patient, has received more than 900,000 rupees in financial assistance from Hong Kong.
Hamal, who has been undergoing treatment for kidney failure for the past two years, has received support for a kidney transplant. He has been undergoing dialysis twice a week at Sumeru Hospital.
He received Rs 916,000 in assistance from Durga Bahadur Thapa, Shanti Thapa and Khum Gurung, all residents of Shaligram Ward 6, Bihadi Rural Municipality, Parbat District and currently residing in Hong Kong. The assistance was handed over to the patients at a program organized in Dhapakhel, Lalitpur on Thursday.
To support Hamal’s treatment, donations were collected during the Parbat Club Hong Kong’s Butterfly Volleyball game, led by Durga Thapa, Matishree Punamagar, and Rasna Gurung.
Similarly, Laxmi Gurung, Rajkumar Shrestha, Mahesh Pun, Santosh Thapa, Kiran Gurung, Pushpa Thapa, and others were active in Hong Kong to raise money for the treatment of kidney patients. Hamal’s family has requested additional assistance.
