UAE:- The Nepali Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has clarified that Nepali citizens who have overstayed their visas in the UAE due to the recent developments in the Middle East will not be fined.

The embassy issued a statement on Tuesday, stating that it has received information that no fine will be imposed on those who overstay their visas after February 28. The embassy has urged all Nepalis not to panic and to exercise restraint in this difficult situation.

Amidst the difficult situation in the Middle East, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has created a new online portal to collect accurate information about the situation of Nepalis in the UAE and to facilitate necessary rescue and coordination. The embassy has appealed to Nepalis in trouble to immediately update their details on the portal.

According to the embassy, ​​in the first phase, details have been requested, giving priority to citizens facing two types of problems. Among them, Nepalis stranded at the UAE airport while returning to Nepal through transit from various countries are given first priority.

Similarly, citizens whose UAE visas have expired or who have had their visas cancelled by their companies and have even purchased air tickets to return to Nepal but are stuck in an uncomfortable situation due to the current situation will also need to fill in their details as soon as possible.
