KATHMANDU:- Acting President of the Nepali Congress, Purna Bahadur Khadka, has said that 885 signatories who were said to be participating in the special general convention have submitted signed letters to the party office stating that they have withdrawn their support.
Acting President Khadka said this on Friday after reaching the Election Commission to stake a claim for official recognition.
He stated that although it was claimed that a special general convention was held with the signatures of 54 percent, 885 signatories have withdrawn their signatures.
He said that proof of the withdrawal of signatures has been submitted to the party office, addressed to the acting president and the chief secretary.
According to him, they possess records of signatures both from before and after the special general convention.
He said, “There has been talk about signatories and participants. Among those signatories, 885 individuals have separated themselves from it and withdrawn their signatures, submitting signed letters to the central office addressed to the acting president. ”
Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress led by Gagan Thapa has already selected a Central Working Committee through the special general convention.
