KATHMANDU:- Nepal has won its final match of the T20 World Cup by seven wickets against Scotland.
Nepal had won the toss and elected to field. Nepal won by seven wickets after Scotland set a target of 171 runs for Nepal.
Nepal achieved the target of 171 runs set by Scotland in 19.2 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Dipendra Singh Airi scored an unbeaten 50 runs in Nepal’s win. Gulshan Jha, who was partnering with Airi, scored 24 runs unbeaten.
Opener Kushal Bhurtel contributed 35 runs for Nepal. Another opener Asif Sheikh added 33 runs. Captain Rohit Kumar Poudel added 16 runs for Nepal’s victory. Mitchell Lisk took 3 wickets for Scotland.
Earlier, Scotland opener Michael Jones had scored a half-century. He contributed 71 runs off 45 balls, with the help of eight fours and three sixes.
Similarly, George Munsey scored 27 and Brandon McMullen scored 25. Nepal’s Sompal Kami took three wickets while Nandan Yadav took two wickets.
Similarly, Rohit Poudel and Kushal Bhurtel took one wicket each.
