KATHMANDU:- Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has emphasized the importance of ensuring meaningful youth participation in the party’s upcoming 15th general convention.

During a meeting with youth leaders at his residence, Deuba said that mobilizing young members would be vital for strengthening party unity ahead of the convention. He urged the youth leaders to work towards creating an environment that enables young representatives to secure positions in the party’s central committee through the convention.

Deuba reaffirmed that the NC’s 15th general convention will take place as scheduled from January 10 to 12, 2026.

The delegation that met Deuba included former Nepal Student Union (NSU) president and former Constituent Assembly member Ranjeet Karn, former NSU vice presidents Pushpa Kumar Shahi and Nabin Rai, former general secretary Deepak Bhattarai, and youth leaders Shiva Rimal, Badri Aryal, and Dilip Dhungana, among others.
