KATHMANDU:- The Meteorological Forecasting Division has issued a weather advisory for today, forecasting generally cloudy conditions in the mountainous and hilly regions and partly cloudy skies elsewhere.

Moderate rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder, lightning, hail, and snowstorms are likely in some hilly and mountainous areas. In the Terai, light rain is expected in parts of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces, while the rest of the Terai may also see occasional showers.

Authorities have also warned of possible windstorms in parts of the Terai regions of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces.

Tonight, mountainous regions are expected to remain generally cloudy, hilly areas partly cloudy, and the Terai mostly clear. Light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning could occur at select places in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali provinces, and sporadically in Bagmati, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim. Hilly areas in Koshi and Gandaki may also experience brief showers.

The possibility of windstorms will continue in some Terai areas of Madhesh and Koshi Provinces. Residents are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions.
