KATHMANDU:- With just 67 days remaining, Nepal gears up for the general elections on March 5, 2026, as 18,903,689 eligible voters prepare to elect members of the House of Representatives.
The final voter list, released by the Election Commission, shows 9,663,358 men, 9,240,131 women, and 200 voters identifying as other genders are eligible to cast their ballots. The list is now accessible on the commission’s official website.
Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said the list was published in line with Section 20 of the Voter List Act, 2073.
Compared to the elections for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly held in 2079 BS, when 17.9 million people voted, the current voter base has grown by nearly 915,000.
A total of 23,112 polling booths have been set up across 10,967 polling stations nationwide, marking an increase of 75 polling stations from the last election.
