WASHINGTON:-  According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has arrested Oscar Gerardo Solórzano-Garcia, a criminal illegal immigrant from Honduras. He is accused of attempted murder after stabbing a passenger on a light rail in Charlotte, NC, with a large, sharp knife.

Solórzano-Garcia’s criminal history includes convictions for battery with a deadly weapon, destruction of evidence, resisting arrest, using a false identification card, and robbery and unlawful reentry.

“ICE has filed a lawsuit against the arresting officer to prevent the release of Oscar Gerardo Solórzano-Garcia, a twice-deported illegal immigrant, back to his North Carolina neighborhood. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the county will honor the inmate as they have a history of not cooperating with ICE,” said Secretary Kristi Noem.

These criminal illegal immigrants were issued final orders of removal by an immigration judge in 2018 and deported by the Trump administration on March 9, 2018. In 2021, he was arrested again for illegally crossing the border and deported again. He entered the US illegally for the third time at an unknown date and location.

Last month, DHS launched Operation Charlotte in North Carolina. The operation targeted criminal illegal immigrants coming to the Tar Heel State. But sanctuary politicians will protect them and they are given the right by sanctuary policies to roam freely on American streets.

Criminal illegal immigrants are being released under sanctuary policies in North Carolina neighborhoods, with allegations that nearly 1,400 detainees across North Carolina are not being treated with respect.
