‘Happy Minds’ founder Shreeya Giri honored in London “It reflects the collective spirit of young Nepalis who are bringing light, love, and courage, especially at a time when our country is facing a mental health crisis.”

LONDON:- Shreeya Giri, founder of ‘Happy Minds’, a mental health charity in Nepal, has been honored as one of the ‘Women of the Future: 50 Rising Stars’ at a ceremony held in London.

Shriya, among 50 women under the age of 35, selected from around the world, were announced at a ceremony held at the Financial Times headquarters on Monday.

“As the founder of a Nepali startup working in the mental health sector, this honor has greatly encouraged me,” said Shriya. “It reflects the collective spirit of young Nepalis who are bringing light, love, and courage, especially at a time when our country is facing a mental health crisis.”

Happy Minds has been collaborating with various organizations to raise awareness about mental health, mobilize investment in mental health services, and create supportive community spaces.

The ‘Women of the Future: 50 Rising Stars in ESG’ campaign has been supported by leading UK companies, Tesco, Reed Smith LLP and the Financial Times. This campaign honors young women under the age of 35 from around the world who are making meaningful changes in the areas of environment, sustainability, and good governance.

Last year, Forbes Asia recognized Shreeya’s contributions in the field of mental health advocacy and youth inspiration by listing her on its ’30 Under 30 – Social Impact’ list.

Shreeya said that Happy Minds (www.happyminds.health) has started a free mental health counseling service for young people, women, and pregnant women, especially after the violent incidents during the Gen Z movement.
