By Ram Maya Bista, LONDON:- Kulman Ghising, former Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, has said that Nepal’s hydroelectric potential should be explored and utilized as energy is a national need.
Ghisang expressed the view that the government should create an investment-friendly environment for the development of hydropower and attract diaspora investment.
Ghising said that he was traveling abroad as part of the Ujyaalo Nepal Campaign and that he was connected with Nepalis abroad in an effort to attract foreign investment to Nepal.
Addressing the hardships and obstacles faced by Nepalese in the diaspora when trying to invest in Nepal, he urged political parties to grant constitutionally guaranteed rights to Nepalese living abroad.
Ghising told the Nepali community in the UK, “Ujyaalo Nepal is a socio economic campaign. I am trying to do something for Nepal by staying in Nepal. This campaign needs the support of all of you.”
The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) UK and the Association’s England State Council hosted a ‘Meet and Greet’ event in Plumstead on Friday with Kulman Ghising, former Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority.
