KATHMANDU:- Nepal is likely to experience cloudy weather today as the effects of a westerly low-pressure system and local winds continue across the country.

The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has forecast light to moderate rainfall and snowfall in several hilly and mountainous areas later today, with chances of thunderstorms and lightning accompanying the precipitation.

Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, along with the mountainous regions of Koshi Province, are expected to experience generally cloudy skies, while other parts of the country will see clearer conditions.

Moderate rainfall, along with lightning, hail, and strong winds, is expected in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Madhes regions later in the day. The night is predicted to remain generally to fully cloudy, with moderate rainfall likely in Koshi, Madhes, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
