MAKWANPUR:- Indra Bahadur Baniya has been elected Nepali Congress Bagmati Province Parliamentary Party Leader on Wednesday.

Baniya defeated Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama by eight votes, gaining 22 in favour. Lama only secured 14 votes.

Election Officer Hari Sharan SHrestha informed that out of the total cast 37 votes, one vote turned invalid.

For the NC PP leader, voting was conducted from 2 PM to 3 PM this afternoon.

Yesterday (Tuesday), a no-confidence motion against Lama was passed.
