NEW YORK:- US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested a dozen illegal immigrants, including a man of Bhutanese origin.
On Friday, ICE arrested Bala Acharya, a Rochester, New York, resident of Bhutanese origin, on charges of sexually abusing a girl under the age of 16, during an illegal immigration operation.
Along with Acharya, David Pineda of Guatemala, Junior Alexi Medina – Honduras, Ja Mee, Thailand, and Jorge Andres Garcia-Celis, Mexico, have been arrested.
The Ice are Leonardo Varela-Lopez-Mexico, Manuel Ivan Castillo-Estrada-Mexico, Usman Muhammad-Vietnam, Michel Saucedo-Ramirez-Mexico and Barbaro Reyes-Gomez-Cuba.
Those arrested on Thursday and Friday were found guilty of heinous crimes including rape, child abuse, and assault with a deadly weapon.
“Those arrested are rapists, child molesters, criminal illegal immigrants who ICE has arrested in the United States and is in the process of deporting,” a senior DHS official said.
