KATHMANDU:- The Department of Prison Management has decided to transfer Rabi Lamichhane, the Chair of Rastriya Swatantra Party, to Nakkhu prison of Lalitpur from Rupandehi prison.

Facing a legal case involving cooperative fraud, Lamichhane is currently being held in Rupandehi prison. Earlier, he had applied for the prison transfer, and the decision was taken on Friday. According to Department information officer Sandesh Prasad Joshi, an official letter was dispatched to the Rupandehi prison on Friday itself.

Lamichhane will be brought to Nakkhu as early as possible with security arrangements, Joshi added.
