KATHMANDU:- The House of Representatives meeting is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. today. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the meeting’s agenda includes initiating a general discussion on the annual estimate (budget) of revenue and expenditure for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84.
In the meeting, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle will present a proposal along with a statement to ‘initiate a general discussion on the annual estimate of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2083/84.’ The Finance Minister is also scheduled to answer questions raised during the discussion on the budget.
Similarly, Finance Minister Wagle is scheduled to propose a motion seeking permission to introduce the Appropriation Bill, 2083 BS and present the bill in the House. Similarly, the Federal Parliament Secretariat has stated that the bill will be presented in the House along with a motion seeking permission to introduce the ‘National Debt Recovery Bill, 2083 BS’ and the ‘Nepal Rastra Bank (Third Amendment) Bill, 2083 BS’.
In the meeting, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadak Raj Poudel will present a proposal to send the ‘Tourism Bill, 2082’, which originated in the National Assembly, to the relevant committee for clause-wise discussion.
Similarly, Minister for Youth, Labor and Employment Ramji Yadav is scheduled to present the International Labor Organization (ILO)’s ‘Labor Inspection Convention, 1947 (No. 81)’ and ‘Protocol No. 29 of 2014 to the Forced Labor Convention, 1930’ in the House.
