KATHMANDU:- The Department of Foreign Employment has announced that it will reissue labor permits for Nepali workers in foreign employment through an automated system.
The Department of Foreign Employment has issued a notice today stating that reissue labor permits have been made automated in line with the plan to make foreign employment safe, dignified and systematic.
The Department of Foreign Employment has made various criteria mandatory, including new conditions, to be followed while obtaining reissue labor permits through the automated system online.
According to the department, when applying for a work permit again through the automated system, the application must be made only for the country and company from which the work permit was previously obtained. The department has stated that this rule does not apply to those who have changed organizations or companies.
The department, through a press release, has made it mandatory to have a passport with a validity of at least three months, a valid visa, a contract agreement with the company, deposits in the Social Security Fund, deposits in the Foreign Employment Welfare Fund, and periodic life insurance.
It is stated that these conditions have been put forward to make the online system more systematic, transparent and communication-friendly. The department has urged service recipients to adopt the necessary vigilance as the system will automatically reject applications that do not meet the conditions.
