KATHMANDU:- There is a possibility of light rainfall and snowfall in some high-hill and mountainous areas of the country today.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, mist is likely to occur in several parts of the Tarai region during the morning hours.

The Division stated that the weather will remain generally cloudy in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, with partly cloudy conditions expected in the hilly regions. However, most parts of the Tarai will experience mainly fair weather.

There is a chance of light rain and snowfall at a few places in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Bagmati provinces. Similarly, one or two locations in the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces may also witness light precipitation.

For tonight, hazy conditions are likely in some parts of the Tarai. The weather is expected to remain partly cloudy in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces, while other regions will see mostly clear skies.

The Division added that the country is currently experiencing the partial influence of westerly winds, contributing to the changing weather pattern.
